Master Bedroom Remodel

Aside from the 4 pickup trucks full of old smelly books and size 52 waist pants, the bedroom is nice.  This house has a very large master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms.  The master is 12 feet by 17 feet, which is large for this era house.  Each bedroom has nice closets, plus knee wall closets.  The entire upstairs has solid maple floors with 1" wide boards.  Here are some pictures of the process.

Here are some before pictures of the master bedroom.  Classy.

These pictures don't do justice to how dirty it was.   Very dirty and smoky.  That window AC unit was installed using spray foam insulation.

All of the ceilings were cracked, and in places falling down.  I used Big Wally's Plaster Magic to fix the cracks and repair the plaster.  It is expensive, but it works.  Here are some photos of that process.

First you drill a bunch of holes and inject the holes with runny glue.  It takes lots of glue.
Then you use these screws with cups on the end, which pull the plaster up.
This is after the glue dries.

Some places the plaster is too bad, and the screws don't work, so you need to jack up the ceiling.
We used Plywood Forms to jack the ceiling up and hold the plaster while it dried.
Drywall to cover the holes.   It was dusty.

Now for some paint.   Patra picked this color.  It looks nice.

Floor refinishing by Mike King Sport Floors.

Floor finish by Glitza Conversion Varnish.  The stuff stinks, but works really good.   Look at the ceilings.  The cracks are gone.
New light fixtures and plugs for the master bedroom.

All finished with a cat.  A little bit cluttered because we are living in the house now (actually we are living in the bedroom and bathroom only as the rest is a disaster area).

I will get some additional photos once we remove all the extra clutter.
